The Bronx has become a source of fear for its residents including Marisol. I imagine a place wherepeople have no choice but to live in buildings that are run down and desecrated by time. I found this ideaof a guardian angel interesting because for me it implies that the angels are the thing standing in the wayof total human disintegration. The way the world changes as Marisol loses her angel and what happens tothe characters who have gone through the same fate is manifested in violence and the stress of trying to survive.
